Headaches are caused by toxins that have seeped into the bloodstream. Experts estimate that about 90% of all headaches are caused by a combination of toxemia and muscular tension and 6% are migraines. Migraines result from a disturbance in the blood circulation to the brain. This disturbance is usually caused by fatty deposits (cholesterol) and the narrowing and hardening of blood vessels (arteriosclerosis).
Symptoms:

A throbbing or pain in and around the head.

  • L-lysine has been found to be an effective treatment for migraines. We suggest a high quality whole food supplement, like VITAFORCE™ that is complete and made from whole foods. Cephalalgia, !4(4), August 1994, p 297-300
  • Also, eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables. These foods are full of nutrients that feed nutrient-deficient cells which can lead to headaches.
  • Get regular, moderate exercise to improve circulation to the brain.
  • Eat 100% organic foods, avoiding pesticides, insecticides, and other harmful chemicals/ that poison the bloodstream and cause headaches.
  • Get a massage occasionally to help relieve tension and assist the removal of toxins. Be sure to drink a lot of water after a massage.
  • Practice deep breathing exercises; a lack of oxygen can cause headaches.
  • Drink at least 8 glasses of distilled water a day. Many headaches are caused by dehydration.
  • The consumption of fresh Feverfew leaves has been shown to prevent migraines. British Medical Journal, 291 (6495), August 31, 1985, p. 569-573

Things to Avoid:

  • Avoid chewing gum, ice cream, iced beverages, salt, and excessive sunlight.
  • Avoid aspartame (NutraSweet/Equal) MSG, and nitrates (preservatives in hot dogs and luncheon meats)
  • All Animal Foods: dairy foods (milk, cheese, butter, cream, ice cream), fish, meat, chicken, turkey, eggs, fried and greasy foods, margarine, and all other processed foods and animal derived products from your diet. These foods are laced with chemicals, pesticides, and toxins as well as high levels of saturated fats which cause gallstones and inflammation
  • Salt, tobacco, caffeine, sodas, coffee, sugar, and refined white flour (breads, pastas, cereals- replace with whole wheat pastas, breads, and cereals). These products are extraordinarily destructive to the body.
